Yes, there will be additional charges for the following:

Extra pickups and/or drop-off locations
Collection or delivery of items above ground floor, where no lift access is available
Distance from premise to vehicle exceeding 80 metres
Any work or preparation that was mutually agreed to be completed by the customer in advance but was not done prior to the mover’s arrival. This may result in a longer moving process, a higher final invoice, or in rare cases, an additional moving day (subject to availability).

Yes. Only registered users or authorised persons listed under your account will be allowed access to your storage unit.

Our staff are available during office hours to assist with any inquiries. However, customers still have independent access outside of office hours using their access credentials.

No. BIZplus+ offers flexible terms ranging from day use to 12 months or more, so you’re not locked into a long commitment. You can start with a shorter plan and extend as your business grows.

With a traditional office lease, you pay for a fixed space regardless of how much you use it, often with high deposits and long commitments. BIZplus+ lets you pay only for what you need, workspace, storage, or both, on flexible terms, which is significantly more cost-efficient for SMEs and growing businesses.

Yes. We provide all customers with 10 free boxes. If you need additional boxes, they are available at $5 per box (Usual Price: $7 per box).

Yes. Please let us know in advance if you are planning to move on Sundays or public holidays.

No, the destination does not have to be at Extra Space storage facility. It can be at any location of your choice.

Cover sofas, tables, and cabinets with protective sheets or bubble wrap to prevent dust and scratches. For fragile items, use sturdy boxes with padding. Label all boxes clearly with their contents and destination room to make unpacking easier once your move or renovation is complete. If you’re storing sensitive items like electronics or documents, opt for an air-conditioned unit for added protection.

e-Station is a pop-station service available for customers to drop off their parcels for their recipients to collect.

e-Stations are available at our Boon Keng and Tai Seng storage facilities.

The e-Valet boxes are secured with strong seals to ensure the contents remain safe. We encourage customers to sign on the seals provided to ensure they have not been tampered with.

No, we do not allow customers to self-collect their e-Valet boxes. However, if you have a unique situation, please feel free to contact us — we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

The boxes measure 60cm x 40cm x 30cm and have a maximum packed weight of 20kg.

After you sign up, we will deliver our industrial-grade plastic boxes to you. Once you have finished packing your items, we will pick them up and store them securely in our facility. When you need your items back, simply schedule a return through our website, and we’ll deliver them back to you.

Items that do not meet safety or regulatory requirements are not permitted in self-storage. These include:

Hazardous materials such as explosives and flammable goods
Perishable items that could decompose (e.g., exposed foodstuffs)
Living things such as animals and plants
Stolen or illegal goods such as drugs and firearms

Our Customer Service team will be unable to assist with moving your items. However, you can engage our e-Move service for professional moving and transportation assistance.

We provide trolleys and pallet jacks free of charge for customer use.

We offer the convenience of purchasing packaging materials at our Box Shop. You will find a wide range of packaging materials, including boxes, bubble wrap, markers, tape, shelves, stretch film, pen knives, and even padlocks.

We do not provide removal services. However, we have a list of reputable removal service partners that we can recommend. For more details, you may contact our Customer Service team.

We do not provide padlocks, as this ensures that you are the sole key holder of your space. You can purchase a new, sealed lock at any Extra Space Asia facility. No one else will have a key to that lock except you.

Insurance covers fire and forcible theft, and items should be insured based on their estimated value. If damage or theft occurs, you will be entitled to claim the insured value you selected. Please note that insurance claims take depreciation into account when determining the payout amount.

Yes. The Multi-Risk Insurance package for wine customers includes coverage against fire, water, and theft of up to $50,000 per unit per annum. It also includes coverage for breakage within the storage unit, capped at $5,000 per bottle and up to a maximum of $50,000.

Recognising that many customers prefer insurance protection for their items, Extra Space Asia has partnered with Marsh Singapore to provide coverage at competitive rates.

Simply sign a short storage agreement, make the quoted payment, and you’ll be ready to move in. Your contract is a month-to-month agreement with Extra Space Asia and consists of a simple three-page document that takes less than ten minutes to complete.

You may choose your preferred start date, within one month from the day you sign up, to begin your storage rental.

Yes, facilities in central or prime areas typically charge more due to higher land costs and demand. Opting for a suburban location such as Yishun, Tampines, or Jurong West can offer meaningful savings without compromising on security or accessibility.

A few simple strategies can help: commit to a longer rental term for better rates, right-size your unit to avoid paying for unused space, look out for seasonal promotions and first-month discounts, and compare prices across providers. Choosing a non-central facility is also one of the most effective ways to reduce costs.

You have the freedom to access your items 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Feel free to add or remove items from your storage room whenever you need.

You will need to terminate your unit at the current facility by giving 14 days’ notice and sign up as a new customer at the other facility. The storage unit at the other Extra Space facility is subject to availability, and price discount plans may vary.

You can upgrade to a larger unit or downsize to a smaller one at any time, depending on your storage needs and the availability of units within the same storage facility or at another storage facility.

We will require only 14 days’ notice of your intention to terminate your storage lease.
A refund will be processed for your initial security deposit and any unused payments you have made. Notice must be provided in writing, either by post or email.

You will receive a termination confirmation email or a written acknowledgment from Extra Space Self Storage once the process is complete.

Refunds are provided in accordance with the terms and conditions of your agreement. Typically, any prepaid rental beyond the notice period may be refunded after account verification.
